The Public Service Career Expo

The region’s fifth Public Service Career Expo will take place Nov. 15, 2023, at Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Missouri. This free, in-person event will allow middle and high-school students to explore high-demand and rewarding career opportunities in local government. Numerous cities and counties across the bistate region are co-sponsoring the expo, which will feature hands-on, interactive sessions on public sector jobs and information on internships, job shadow and volunteer opportunities.
Students will have the opportunity to explore careers in administration, information technology, fire/EMS, law enforcement, human services, public health, public works, and the trades.

KC Imagine Digital Media Academy Career Summit

Here's your chance to help your students explore career opportunities in digital media during our all-day conference for KC area digital media academies.  Here's what to expect:
Three breakout periods with sessions led by KC area professionals on topics like:

  • Preparing Your Personal Portfolio

  • Camera Angles & Composition

  • Social Media & SEO

  • Creating Your Personal Brand

  • Careers in Animation for Film, Games & Television

  • Drone Photography

Lunch Break
Career/College Fair

  • Students meet directly with digital media educators from regional colleges and career programs to learn what the best choice is for them.

STEAM Studio

STEAM field trips are based on a connection to your classroom curriculum and the real-world application of Design Thinking. We work with you to ensure the program meets your objectives and standards, customizing as required.

Friday, December 8 9:00-3:00pm

ABC Craft Championships

Watch the craft competition; participate in hands-on trade stations; and talk one-on- one with industry professionals from a variety of local and regional general contractors and subcontractors.
