Step 2: Suggested Pre-Activity

Facilitate a discussion about the difference between a job vs a career. This 2-minute video describes the difference. (Oficios y Profesiones)

Step 3: Questions to Ask Professionals

Before the event, review the list of suggested questions with your students so they have a better idea of what they might want to ask professionals. Encourage them to think critically and use the blank space on the handout to add their own questions.

Benefits of Bilingualism

Use this handout to introduce the benefits of bilingualism. It highlights how knowing more than one language can strengthen the brain, support academic success, and open doors for future career opportunities.

Note Taking Activity

Keep students engaged during the event by having them take notes. Please see the template by clicking the button. This can be used to guide a debrief conversation with students after the event to discuss their learnings and key takeaways.

Post Event Activity
